Hey guys,

I got this amazing oppertunity a couple of weeks ago and I kinda kept it quiet because I didn't want to get people's opinions before I could figure out my own. But I got approached by a Mark representative who sent me 2 eyeliners (which I both used in this look because I couldn't choose), 4 lipglosses and a lot of eyeshadow-testers Laughing out loud . You can get Mark products at: http://shop.meetmark.com/shop/default.asp

Here is the endlook:

Now I do have to say that you have to have a steady hand to do this look, but you could also go for one colour. I just wanted two do add a little kick to the eye Laughing out loud

- Clinique, Continuous Rescue Antioxidant Moisturizer

- Sephora Brand, "Tricks of the Trade" Immediate Wrinkle Filler

Preparation
I started my face with a little bit of a mask today, my face was very oily and I just wanted to ensure I won't break out tomorrow. I used the Contimuous Rescue Antioxidant Moisturizer to feed my skin and Repairwear on my eyes. I also used the Immediate Wrinkle Filler directly after applying the Repairwear. I let this all sink in for about 10 minutes while I got dressed and brushed my teeth etc.

I wanted to give my skin a little rest today so I used Teint Parfait in no 7 as a foundation. The Teint Parfait is really made to give your skin a boost or slight colour change before you use your foundation (that's why this can be bought in purple, green, gold etc.) The no. 7 is an apricot colour which is a little orange, but if you blend it well you really get a naturally beautiful face.
At this point I want to use as little as possible on my face and I decide to use the Photo Op Under Eye Brightener at this point to see if I still need concealer after this.

As you can see I do need a little concealer under my eyes but I don't want to cake it on, I just want to look natural and not perfectly made up, so I use the concealer not straight from the tube, but I put some of the Camera Ready Concealer on the concealer brush and put that on the dark cirkle very lightly. (If you move your chin to your chest, you see the exact placement of your dark cirkles and then you can conceal them better with less product.)
I used Highbrow under my eyebrows to lighten this area. I will not use a lot of eyecolours because I'm using two liners and I don't want anything to pull the attention away from this. Keeping the eye looking clean means highlighting your browbone and blending well, I blended with my fingers to keep it soft, it you want a more dramatic highlight, blend with a concealer brush but blend well.

At this point I automatically picked up the Mineral Powder Brush to apply a light dusting of Super Matte Loose Powder. I want the face to look clean and not shiney when using a metallic liner, it's a personal preference.
To prepaire my eye area I used Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

I was annoyed by my eyebrows at this point in the look, for some reason they didn't want to stay put, so I cut a little of the top hairs. For some reason my eyebrows are looking odd in the arch and grrrr... I can't fix it grrrr.
I used the All Over Shadow Brush to place Whisper/Souffle all over my eye and under my eye a little as well. This shadow is the exact colour as my eyelid is and it's matte so it's perfect as a base for a natural eye. Also it stayed matte the entire day and didn't budge.

The two Mark colours I used were:

As the crease colour I used Latte/Cafe latte. I actually used this more above the crease then in the crease to make the crease look higher. I tilted my head back a bit and then looked straight foreward, you now still see the crease but if you place the colour above the crease a little you place it perfectly. (I held the camera higher which means the lighting is different.)

For the placement of this colour I used a Natural Dome Smudge Brush.

As you can see the eye is very natural and pretty:

When using matte colours you look instantly polished, but also it's more obvious that you are in fact wearing make-up, a glow adds a natural look to it, and matte adds class.

I used the Metalliner in Bronze Edge as the first liner on my lashline. The brush in the eyeliner is very thin which makes a thin line very easy to do. You just rest your brush on your lashes when you have your eye half open and draw the line, remember to have something under your ellbow for support. I love this colour liner, when I opened the tube the first time I though... oehh shimmer... hmmm... but on the skin it does turn into a metallic line.

Next up was the blue line on top of the bronze. You do really need a steady hand for this, so don't do this when you're in a hurry, slowly draw the colour above the bronze using small strokes. The Metalliner in Blue Chrome is a little thinner then the Bronze Edge, so if you have small wrinkles on your eyelid, I'd say this could run into the wrinkles if it's still wet. Also the colour is less intense, but I still like it because it's a popping colour Laughing out loud .

Before curling your eye lashes, make sure the liner is dry. I used the Sephora Eyelash curler, walking it from the roots to the tips with small squeezes. I added waterproof Diorshow in black because I LOVE this mascara and when my old one ran out I bought the Sephora kit that had the many mascara's to test if I didn't like another one better, but I don't this is the mascara for me and I'll stick with it.

Lips
On my lips I used another Mark product, the Glow Baby Glow Luxe (Hook Up) Lip Gloss in Choco Luxe. It's a brown shimmer gloss and it has a toothpaste smell which I actually like. I like having a fresh smell on my mouth. I never got the smelling like strawberry lipglosses my friends got when we were younger, I do like this smell. I ate all the gloss of by now (it's 8 hours after I first put it on) and my lips don't feel dry, so that's good too.

Sooo, all in all, I like the Mark products (and I'm not just saying this because I got these things for free). I especially liked the Whisper/Souffle colour and the Bronze Edge metallic liner. The blue liner is a little thin so it could run into wrinkles if you've got them, so be carefull when using this, but the colour makes it all better.

Anyone else have any expeciences with Mark?
Do you like the dubble lined look?
