I'm trying out a new product that has gotten a lot of good reviews from makeupalley.com and IT'S FREAKING CHEAAAAAAAAAAAAP compared to most skin care products. Averaging about $15 a pop! I ordered it through amazon, some say it has gotten rid of fine wrinkles and cleared up dark spots.
So i was like "HOLY FREAKING CRAP I'VE GOT TO TRY THIS!", and i did! I mean, who could pass up a cheap skin wonder product?
Their Website
Online store that sells them
So a few questions: has anyone tried this product out before or gone through a similar purging process??
and when should i get worried, my skin hasn't really 'broke out' but if it does what are the 'Oh Crap!' signs?

HERE Are the Reviews there's a lot.
Also, when i put it on it sort of stings little areas of my skin...i wonder if that means it's working or if i'm sensitive?
THERE ARE literally tons of people who swear by this, but some say you have to go through a short purging process.....that's where i am right now. My left cheek is sort of 'scaly' and the area between my eyebrows, sort of a light pink rash. My skin seems to have uneven texture, like some areas have those tiny tiny bumpy pimples.....ANYWAYS, i guess it could be worse. My skin is usually clear except for the occasional zit that pops up when i'm hormonal and i wanted to try this out bc at 24 i felt like i could already see faint smile lines and defined forehead wrinkles. (i have a very 'emotional' face lol). also i've got some pores that are bugging me and i want minimize them.
Hopefully this will reverse the age clock and smooth me out!
thanks for your help

you should post this in Beauty Product Junkies Group
1OH YEAH! i forgot to do that, lol thanks jess
2Can't wait to hear how it works out in the long run!
3jennifer, it seems to be clearing up already! i woke up and had to really look at myself in the mirror. i'm kind of amazed, yesterday was the second day on the product and i was breaking out in tiny small bumps between my eyebrows and my left cheek is more smooth than scaly. 2 acne scars seem to be a little lighter and the pores by the side of my nose on my face are minimizing.....can you say wonder drug?! seriously, i can't wait to see what happens in 2 weeks if this i just 3rd day!
4I did hazel. And my skin loves anything with alpha hydroxy acids, but this product didn't really make a difference. It was just an okay moisturizer for me. I used 2 pots and it was just blah.

5hmmm, i can feel the stinging tingles whenever i put it on and i feel like it's working but maybe you're right and it is just a fancy moisturizer, i'm going to try to use the whole pot before i make any opinion. Shiloh, what do you recommend with alpha hydrozy?
6I used to luuuv the Pond's dramatic results but the buggers discontinued it. However they still sell the make up remover towlettes and these contain alpha hydroxy acids, vitamin E and Vitamin C and they leave your skin radiant and clean. I'm never without them. After my second pot of the AH souffle, I switched to Neutrogena serum with retinol and it seems like this one + the microdermabrasion routine from Philosophy with peptides is keeping my skin under control.

7I've really got to try this, then- I've got some uneven patches on my skin that I'd love to clear up.
Sometimes, alpha hydroxy acids can affect your skin differently, which is why it's always good to know:
- what kind of face / skin you're blessed / plagued with.
- all the ingredients and product reviews from someone who (it seems) has the same skin problems as you.
It really makes a difference in the long run!
Also, I always consult my dermatologist before starting something new, just because she's always got some viewpoint or (sometimes cheaper!) product to recommend to me.
8Oh, I tried this once. My skin started purging after a few days, though, and never stopped. I gave up on it before I finished the pot because my skin is always breaking out (can you get a cosmetic facial skin transplant, I wonder?) and I just don't have the patience for additional breakouts. Plus, the stinging was fairly unpleasant for me. But I've heard amazing things about it from people who have used it long term and who stuck with it through the purging. Good luck and keep us posted!
