Some of the starry stuff that I loveEver since the launch of Stefano Pilati’s collection of star jewellery for Yves Saint Laurent, stars have taken the fashion world by storm. I just love this trend! It reminds me of my rollerdisco days! And the good news for the cosmetically obsessed (that’s us, BPJs
) is that this trend is also hitting the beauty world! Today I stumbled upon this supercool pink vanity case from Soap & Glory with a cute star motif... so adorable! Also, Sephora has this fabulously retro pot of multicoloured star shapes (by Make Up Forever), which you can stick to your cheekbones or sprinkle over your décolletage. I’m tempted to buy some but the fear that I’m a little too old for the Rainbow Brite look is holding me back!
So what do you think of this trend... are you starstruck too?
Fred Perry
it's cute!
1I like the stuff. I love glitter. A couple of weeks ago I bought MAC's glitter "Reflects Gold" to put on my lash line over black gel liner. I absolutely love it. I know it seems over the top - and I never wear it during the day. But yes, sparkles are my dearest friends.
The stars seem a bit much... but I would try it out for fun anyway.
2areidz...the glitter 'reflects gold'
I bet that is gorgeous! Also the bronze! so pretty!
3I love those little stars. I could see myself wearing them on the outer corner of my eyes for fun. Very cute!
4I think the stars would be cute for a fun night out with the girls
I don't know if I
can pull off that look, though! I'm sure you'd rock it missy
5I love that necklace. The pot of stars would be cheaper at a craft store, though. Michael's has star shaped confetti for about $1.79.
6I love the necklace too colourmesticky - unfortunately it's £1,795 which is a little too expensive for a piece of fashion jewellery IMO!
7Only if I was going to a costume party or something. I used to pull stuff like that off in college.
8I'm definetly gonna do some glitter shopping soon. I LOVE IT!
9Those stars remind me of my high school years. I would wear glitter and stars all around my eyes. I cant believe they are now trendy

11I'm too old to try something like that! I would look like the mom-who-tries-to-look-young-by-wearing-stars! LOL!
12so cute! go for the star glitter! it's not exactly an every day look, but you could wear it for a special occasion or at the very least for a costume party!
13AudreyStar - lol
I love the necklace but...I have the urge to lick it or something! It looks like jello or hard candy, haha. I think I'm crazy.
I agree with ColorMeSticky - I was at Michael's this afternoon (I read this post at work) and saw they did have nice assortment of glitter/sequins in various sizes. I think that if you went in a 70's/80's direction, this would be a cool look.
14love the YSL stars, CHANEL has some nice stars in their collection too. i prefer stars as my fashion, not make up look. i have gotten some star necklaces and hair clips.
15A Graphic Star Hair Barette would rock.
