So thanks to 3 of my best popple friends, I am now indeed a beauty product junkie. I'm surfing Sephora.com continuously and my wish list is miles long. I thought this would be a great place for us to post our beauty regimen blogs for easy reference and you can put in reviews on new products also (that's for you Jen!) Anywho, please join us junkies, you know you want too ;)

Showing off... Part I: Medusa's Makeup Mineral Shadows (pics + swatches)

Posted By Miss Tat on Jul 30, 2008 at 6:16AM

Hey everybody!
As many of you may know I am a true fan of loose shadows, pigments, mineral shadows, shimmer dusts, however you want to call them. The good thing about these is that they're extremely versatile, and you can go as light or as bright as your heart desires. No lipgloss to match? No problem. Just mix some clear balm or gloss with one of the pigments and you're ready to go! I am truly in love with these...
I'll be doing three different posts showcasing my collection, with swatches so that you can appreciate them better.
This first one is Medusa's Makeup. These are bright, crazy colors that have an incredible texture as well as excellent pigmentation and wear. I own six colors plus their loose shadow base. These are $6.00 each and if you order online, free shipping over $50!!!

on to the pics!!!

Soylent Green: true green with a slight shimmer
Big Bird: Bright, semi-sheer yellow with a slight shimmer
Red Baron: Red with fuschia undertones, slightly pearlized
Volcano: VERY metallic pinky-wine color. My personal fave!
Pink Cadillac: Bright pink with blue shimmery undertones.
Helter Skelter: Almost-black blue with shimmer
Stick It!: is the all-natural base they make for loose shadows.

These swatches were applied with a brush, pigments dry, over Stick It! shadow base. First picture is without flash, second picture is with flash.

Look at Volcano. Even without flash, it picks up the light and is super shiny! Helter skelter looks black without flash.

here you can better see the shimmer in the top 3 colors, also you can see that Red Baron is more a really really bright fuschia than a true red. You can also see the blue undertones in Pink Cadillac and Helter Skelter, and of course, Volcano is blindingly shiny :)

Well girls, that's that for part one! More swatches coming soon...
What do you think???
