So I'm a big mascara person. From Covergirl to Rimmel to Benefits BadGal to Dior Diorshow, I love to try mascara!! Now Dior has been my main mascara for the past 5 months, but when I saw the Covergirl LashBlast at the store, I just had to try it!
I bought this in very black, and let me tell you what, it is *very* comparable to Dior in my opinion. It has the same effect as Dior, giving you the "false lash" look. The staying power is great, my lashes are just as curled and just as black by the time I'm ready to hit the sack as they were that morning when I first applied it. It doesn't flake or smudge at all. I've been wearing it for about a week now...and with a much cheaper price tag than Dior and the same results, I think this mascara is going to be my #1 for a while
Totally 5 outta 5 stars!

pretty, pretty!
1Ive had mine for a little while now and I like but I have one issue with it. My brush has gotten all goopy. The product builds up on the bristles which makes a gross mess on my lashes. It didnt do it at first. I basically have to be careful now when applying so that my lashes dont clump
2I've been wanting to try the Dior! Covergirl's mascaras have been irritating my eyes here lately though or otherwise I'd try this.
3Ooh, what a coincidence, I was about to post a review of another CG mascara. Coming soon...
4This isn't my favorite mascara, but I do really like it. And for $5 or so, it's a great find!
5You have great lashes.
6Too bad there is no longer any CG in my country.
I think CG and Maybelline have the best cheap mascaras.
Great lashes ToxicSparkle!
I also have this and I LOVE IT!!!
*retail_therapy you poor thing!!

You've done your eyes beautifully! I went off CG mascaras a while ago - and I tried a Maybelline one with a similar sort of brush that I really liked ... so I think if I were in the market for a cheapy mascara I'd definitely go for something like this.
8I use volume express of maybelline because I like it with all my heart. Gonna try this one...
9I am just like you-I love mascara!! This is my favorite right now! I have to give some kudos to Cover Girl!
10Oh God I want to try this soooo bad but can't find it anywhere!!!
11wow. very pretty!
12i try that and i am happy i did it looks great...
13I've been wanting to try this for a while. I already have 9 mascaras though, so I'm not allowing myself to buy more until some of those are gone.
14Great review atoxicsparkle! I've been trying to hunt this down in my local stores but they only have black-brown. Your lashes look amazing by the way. Have a great day
15I love it!
16I know! Last Blash is amazing, I'm obsessed with it.
17Kevin Aucoin said he only uses cover girl and maybelline. I trust him.
good review!
18I love Lashblast. It is second only to Diorshow Blackout.
19Kevin Aucoin died a few years ago, but I'm sure he would have loved Lashblast, LaurenG22!
looks nice!
20maybe I'll try it sometime but I dont need new mascara now
you can wash the brush. the tube has its own cap. make sure to air dry before pumping wand. what i want to know is if it makes your lashes crispie?
21Personally, I did not care for LashBlast too much. I'm a blonde and I have very short and thin lashes. I need my mascara to thicken and lengthen my lashes. Because of my need for thickening and lengthening I found that the product could look great in the morning (with about 5 layers) but by mid day it had all disappeared and flaked off. The color was still there but the thickening and lengthening effect was completely gone.
I will completely agree that if you do have great lashes than this will be a mascara for you.
I just bought (been wearing it for about a week now,) the new Estee Lauder "Turbolash- all effects motion mascara". It's about $30 but in my 25+ years of wearing mascara this is the best one ever. The wand vibrates which helps distribute the product at the base of you lashline very well. I was a little fearful of that tickling or something but I don't feel it at all. It last all day with no touch up. If I am going out at night I just add a 2nd layer for a more dramatic look but a single layer is perfect for day. The EL rep indicated the battery would last approx. 9 months with daily use and the product should last about 6 or so months itself... so that's about $5 a month.
