I've been raving about Memorabilia to a few friends, so I thought I'd review it for my fellow BPJ's.

Melon Pigment and Memorabilia eye shadow are both in the current Originals collection. Melon is a permanent color (not even new for this collection) but I believe Memorabilia is a limited edition. I could be wrong, though...

Memorabilia is what I've been calling a matte dusky purple and what MAC calls a dirty purple (matte). Heh. It's an absolutely lovely color that is very buildable and a nice matte (not a whoa-I-think-your-eyelid-died matte). I've been combining it with shimmer shadows and it works well that way, too.

Unbelievably, the color swatch on the MAC site looks a lot like the actual shadow. Shocking, I know.

Melon is a soft bright golden peach (Frost) (according to MAC) and that sounds about right to me. Unlike some of their frosty pigments, this one goes on strong. So, I use a light touch. It's a very pretty color that does a lot of brightening for me. The color swatch on the MAC site looks nothing like the actual pigment.

Here, I used Melon over the whole area and Memorabilia in the crease. I dusted a bit of Memorabilia over my lid, too just to get the colors working together.

Melon is great, but it will be around. If Memorabilia is a limited edition, you might want to hop in there and check it out!
