So I decided to go all out New Year's Eve and went to Sephora and bought myself some Makeup Forever Graphic Glitter..

and what they don't tell you online, or even on the product anywhere, is that you need adhesive to go with it..

I also got me some cool Sephora brand lashes that I can't find on their website, but they have long black spikes and short gold and silver spikes.. very cool and festive.

Okay so the gal at Sephora demonstrates how to use the mist & fix by spraying it on the back of her hand and sprinkling the glitter on - awesome. Well then I get home and I have to spray and sprinkle on my face, a little tough. I'm applying this above, on, and around my eyelid. So I close my eye and squint with the other and spray.. and quickly try to keep the drippiness to a minimum with a tissue so as not to get it in my eye. (this product on the website says it's used to set makeup and I was so afraid it was going to make my makeup run!) And then you can't really "sprinkle" the glitter on your face without laying down so I'm trying to dab them on.. I ended up grabbing a few at a time with tweezers and applying them that way and that seemed to work best.

It was a more difficult task than I had imagined but here is the result. (I couldn't resist using the glitter to decorate my decolletage as well.. and then the darn lei blocks my plunging neckline, lol)

Overall, the makeup was fun to wear and stayed on really well. And I did dance and sweat my butt off and the only things I had to touch up all night were my lips and hair. I recommend it for anytime you want to add some fun and festive flair to your look for a special occasion such as New Year's, but be prepared to spend at least an extra 10-15 minutes applying it. If I do it again, I might even spray the adhesive in a dish and dip the glitter in it with tweezers and see how well it applies that way. I certainly have enough adhesive left over to do this 100 more times, lol!
