When I finished my Minimalist eye yesterday I knew I would spice it up for my movie with a friend that night. I didn't take it all off to start fresh for this look, but I added colours to the look I did that morning. That is the reason this look doesn't have a foundation explanation because I didn't do my foundation or prime my eyes again, I left on what was still there and just cleaned it up a bit.

As a reminder, this is the eye I did yesterday morning:

And this is what I turned it into yesterday night:

I didn't change my foundation, I didn't add to it with anything, I just used the Evian facial spray 10 minutes before I did my makeup to wake me up a bit and give my foundation a little of a refresh. If you're curious for the foundation I used in the morning, check: http://teamsugar.com/group/88093/blog/1879287

Eyes
Before you start to add to an eye, see if you can add to it, by this I mean:
1) did you think about adding to it when you placed the first layer of colours?
2) has it creased, run, do anything else it wasn't supposed to?
3) is it a good base for what you want to add?
I knew I was going to add to it in the morning, I didn't place my Sephora Wrinkle Filler under my eyes because of it. I knew that if I had an eye cream and a wrinkle filler and a primer and an under eye brightener etc etc, it would run into the wrinkles anyway and that's never good. So I kept it on less products. I also used a product that I knew would stay put underneath it (Smashbox) even without a primer. So it didn't crease or budge really, I took off the Urban Decay glitters from the Midnight Cowboy rides again with a clean fluffy brush and there was the base I needed.

I cleaned up under my eyes with a little add of concealer using the concealer brush and my fingers to blend it even more. Followed by a "new" base over the old one, a very light coat of the lightest matte pinkish colour of my new (JUST bought, so I had to use it even though it wasn't really necessary for this step) Guerlain 4 Colours Fleur de Feu (No. 400) Limited Edition with the big eyeshadow brush by Sephora. I also used the same brush and colour to lighten up under my eye a little bit extra. It's night and it's going to be dark so a little extra light over there gives my eyes a real pop.

I then took the grey from the Smashbox Palette and with the same big eyeshadow brush I have the middle of my eye a hint of grey (really lightly brushing, I just needed the pinkness of my eye to be muted.)

I then took another new thing I bought, the Sephora Lesson 1 Smokey Palette. I had to get this when it said lesson 1, I like these kinds of palettes even though I know how to make a smokey eye, it's good to have everything you need in one kit for when you go over to a friends and you want to go out and not use their makeup. I'm guessing there will be more lessons coming out and I probably will get those too. I used only the black from this kit for this look because it's a matte black with no shimmer to it whatsoever. I used the rounded crease brush to place it on my outer corner and in a very little bit, I also used it on my lower outer lash line. I cleaned the brush on a tissue and dipped it in the darkest colour of the Guerlain palette to do my inner eye corner (mirroring the placement of the outer corner, only now on the inner corner).

I thought the eye became a little flat when I saw this and added something that I didn't plan when I saw a picture with a look like this in a Belgian Cosmopolitain, but really liked the way I changed it. I added Meringue (by GOSH) with my Smashbox concealer brush to the middle of my eyelid and to the upper inner crease. This is a light pink silverish shimmer, so the grey can still be seen under it, it just shines a bit more, creating what I thought was a great effect.

I used Rosewood (GOSH) on the middle of my lower lash line, blending it with the grey and the black. This reddish colour has a little glimmer to it, so don't think you'll look sick adding red to your lower lash line. I used the slanted eyeshadow brush for this because the Rosewood is a loose powder and I didn't want any fallout, so I packed my brush with the colour, patted of the excess and pushed the colour where I needed it to go.
I lined both my waterlines with Zero and then closed my eyes really hard to have the colour "bleed" a little more into my lash line.

I then did something you're not supposed to do, but then again, a rock chick doesn't follow rules, so haha, I did it anyway. I curled my lashes again. When you do this, remember, the mascara will stick to your lashes because you didn't take off the previous mascara. So open your eyes after each crimp and then slowly close your eyes to unstick them. The good thing about curling after you put on mascara is that the curl stays better, the bad thing is if you aren't careful you take out all your eyelashes so BE CAREFUL when trying this. I'm not responsible for any mistake, this is only how I did it, you don't have to, you can use a warming eyelash curler or skip this. But then again that's true with all my posts on this blog, everything I do, you don't have to do, take what you like/need and forget the rest.
I added another coat of the Sephora Brand Lash Plumper in Black and that was it really. Ready is this punky eye Laughing out loud

Lips
So now that I'm ready with my eye, I had to give my lips a little attention as well. They say with a really dark eye don't use a lot of lip colour, this is not a really dark eye even though it does have a punky feel, so I say a little colour is good. I took my Benefit Lip Plumper which is a nude primer for lips and used my finger to apply it. This gives your lips a really neutral colour and it's like a foundation for your lipstick/gloss, it keeps the gloss on your lips better. I took Urban Decay's Thorny Rose Lip Palette and used the colour Gash (which really is an Ultraglide Lip Gloss in a deep shimmering red, cola flavor Item # 62510).

This colour is not as deep as it looks on the palette, but then it's also not as neutral as it looks on the picture of my lips :S Weird, it photographs different. Anyway, this is the picture of my lips after I applied it without a lip liner and padding it in with my finger:

I really hope you guys like this eye, I personally think it's one of my favourites, maybe because it's dark, but not to dark for people to think you're making a "statement", it's just punky.
