So, I still haven't converted to mineral makeup- just lazy and using up what I have at home in liquid foundation that I am already pretty happy using.
I did get this email from totalbeauty.com (I must have signed up for it somewhere).
I am including the link below because it has an interesting quiz to take as well as comparison of popular mineral makeup out there and what users thought when they compared them.

I haven't taken a very close look at all the information, but since so many here on BPJ bring up mineral makeup, I thought I'd share.
Cheers!

Thanks for sharing!
I'm surprised, but it said 'No probably not', for me.
1I'll probably still check out my options!
It said no for me too, LOL! And I use it.
2It said no! But I still want to check it out.
3It said no for me too, and I already use mineral make-up LOL GO figure. I use the Loreal brand mineral makeup and I love it.
4Thanks for sharing.
I'm getting ready to check out the link.
5When I first took the quiz it said mineral makeup wasn't best for me. Then, I took it again..only changing one answer (which I go back and forth on. It was..whether I prefer a matte look or a glowing look.) Anyway, when I picked the glowing look it told me mineral makeup was for me...for reasons like sun protection (but always wear a sunscreen spf 15 moisturizer..which I do), it also said it has less irritants in it (which is very important to me). Anyway, I'm glad I'm finally starting to enjoy my Bare Minerals. lol
Actually, here is the whole thing if you all are interested in reading it: (because, it could be better for you than you realize. The other description didn't fit me..and I knew it.)
Your sensitive skin will wear mineral makeup well. Dallas-based dermatologist Dr. Erin M. Welch tells patients who are allergic to preservatives like parabens, quaternium-15 or isothiazolinone to look for mineral-based products because they typically do not contain these ingredients. Because "mineral products are generally non-comedogenic," Welch also notes that your skin probably won't throw a hissy fit. Another reason to get excited? According to Welch, "some mineral products contain zinc and titanium dioxide, which reflect away UV rays." But she cautions, "it's difficult to quantify how much sun protection mineral makeup actually provides." So prime your face with at least an SPF 15 moisturizer just to be safe. One word of warning: Some companies claim to be "mineral" but aren't 100 percent natural. On your quest for the perfect makeup, always read labels. The good stuff will list minerals (like titanium dioxide, iron oxide, mica and bismuth oxychloride) at the top of the ingredient list.
6thanks for the explanation Beachbarbie, I took it and it said no for me because of the matte vs. dewy thing as well.
7LOL at all the 'no's" who already wear it. I guess I feel a little better about being cheap now that I don't need it
oh, I hope you guys also checked out the comparisons from real people also with the quiz
8i clicked on the dewy answer too, but i got "mineral or bust" because i have really sensitive skin. honestly, if i didn't have sensitive skin i definitely wouldn't use it...i like liquid so much better.
9It said "Um, no thanks" for me - which is exactly my attitude towards mineral makeup. I don't want to be shiny, because my face is already a member of OPEC; I travel a lot so loose powder is just too much of a mess to deal with; I'm a college student don't have the money to spend on BE and the like... and my skin really doesn't need that much coverage now - I can just get away with a few dabs of concealer and a sheer layer of powder these days. No "swirl, tap and buff" for me, thanks.
10i just recently got some and i love it.
11I use a lot of it, on me and on faces I see because it photographs well. It took a while to convince me, but doing without some of the parabens and chemicals is great. If you don't like the the non-matte look that you get from traditional loose minerals, go for a pressed version like the ones from Jane Iredale. Laura Mercier has a new mineral line too. BareMinerals is a great line, but there are many out there that will suit you if they don't.
