I've used this mascara in the past because it gives me AMAZING false-looking lashes, but I stopped because it was impossible to take off. One year later, I bought it again and love it still, but I'm still having a hard time removing it. I currently use Almay Moisturizing eye makeup remover gel (which is supposedly good for removing waterproof makeup) but... when I swiped the cotton pad after massaging it on, NOTHING came off!!! ( hence the staying power of the mascara is GOOD, but i don't want to live in it!!!!)
Any suggestions? I'm on a budget, so whatever it is it has to be drugstore or home-remedy-like =-P

Cold cream, Avon or Mary Kay eye makeup remover, lotion (unscented!), or maybe even olive oil. Not sure about the oil, but it could work.
1Hi MissTat!
I recently asked the readers of Bella the same question, and they came up with some great suggestions for removing the toughest, most stubborn mascaras and liners! Check out the results of their search here.
I personally still love my Lancome Bi Facial, it is an oil-based remover, but doesn't feel greasy on your skin, and I swear it gets everything off absolutely effortlessly.
Good luck, and let us know what ends up working!
Ciao, Bella
2Avon make up remover and patience...
3sticky is right, Mary Kay is the best I've tried.
4hmm... for the immediates I might have to try the baby oil, but it looks like that bi-facil thing is a good idea ( it was bookmarked several times!)
thanks girls
5Good luck! I hate makeup that can't be removed... I used a mascara like that by Revlon. Horrible. It was supposed to do just that, but still... it feels so unsanitary!
6I love the Mary Kay eye make-up remover too, ut maybe you need to use Vaseline, if it is too stubborn to remove.
7I bought the Lancome Bi Facial yesterday. It took everything off! I must have had a ton of eye makeup just sitting there for months! :ROFTL: I'm so glad you mentioned it before, Bella. Seriously, I went up to the counter and said "Hi, I've heard you have the best eye makeup remover out there" and she said "Oh, yes we do.".
8Oh, my friend told me she uses Vaseline. Says it works. I didn't try it.
9Hey, did you have any luck with this? I read this post yesterday and was super-worried about your poor eyelashes! (I had a bad experience with falsies and got a bunch of glue stuck to my eyelashes and ended up pulling most of them out - not a good look!)
As a suggestion, have you tried castille soap? It's an oil-based soap (don't worry, it's not going to cause break-outs or anything, it's just a bit stronger detergent) and that might break up the wax/oil of the mascara. Jeez, at least we know L'Oreal mascara goes the distance!

11I tried the baby oil and it did the trick. Still, I'm saving up for some Lancome. It's been so talked about that I'm curious!!!
I just joined this site so that I could inform you all about a wonderful product called "ANDREA EYE Q'S" eye make-up remover pads (ultra quick/blue container). I to use Loreal Volume Shocking waterproof mascara, and this stuff removes it instantly. I purchase it at Walgreens, but I'm sure any drug stores carry it. If not log on to aiibeauty.com
12The waterproof mascara is excellent for me but removing it is a job.
I have Lancome Bi-Facil but it's very expensive. The closest alternative to that is by Lumene Absolute Away. It is fantastic stuff, oilier residue than Bi-Facil but for $5.99 in CVS Drugstores only, it's great. I have to order it online because it sells out in the stores right away. And even online, I've had to wait for it so I order alot at one time. I've been using it for as long as it's been around.
I also found something last week by Too Faced called Lash Injection Antidote in Sephora. It's $23 but it will last for a very very long time. It's in a pump, it's a creamy gel that you have to use a drop on each lid and rub. I have to take time to work that stuff in but it gets every drop of the mascara off.
I also use DHC Deep Cleansing Oil to get off my waterproof makeup and it also cleans your face gently. That stuff is also excellent. I've been using DHC products for several years. You can't go wrong.
13irbrenda: I absolutely Love DHC products. Even with combination skin, I find that the products work great even with the olive oil in them.
The Bi-Facil lasts me a long time so I don't have a problem with the price. My only gripe about it is that I have to wash my face afterwards because I don't like even the slight oily feel to it.
14So here's my opinion of the Too Faced Lash Injection Antidote mascara remover: it does take all my eye makeup off, but that mascara is still tough. It does remove it all but you have to keep gently rubbing and rubbing and rubbing, etc...Bi-Facil is alot quicker as is the Lumene, which I find comparable to Bi-Facil, just oilier. I think that the L'Oreal mascara must contain Crazy Glue!!!! I think if you didn't wash it off for a month, it would still be on!

16Okay, I did post a few times earlier, but I did try the Deep Cleaning Oil from DHC www.dhccare.com . When you buy something from them, you get 4 free samples from a very large list. You can always try something inexpensive like the mild soap, and try free samples, even if it's four of the Deep Cleansing Oil. I highly recommend it. Just a little bit took Everything off my face. I didn't have to rub hardly at all. I just rubbed gently on my eyes so as to make sure it came off. Truly amazing. *Note - I am not affiliated with them.
17I bought Bi-Facil a couple of days ago. $26 dollars, but i LOVE hoy it works, and I got two lipsticks, two makeup bags, an eyeshadow compact, a travel-size bottle of bi-facil, and a sample of definicils as gifts with purchase, so I think I got the most of my money
