Do you swap used makeup, either with your friends, family or on MUA? I pretty much swap only with my sister. For instance yesterday, she brought over some BE makeup that was too light for her, and I gave her my BE summer bisque that was too dark for me, some EM blush and some coppery-colored HIP shadow that doesn't look good on me. Some things I wouldn't swap with her (like mascara) but most other things I don't have a problem with swapping with her, especially since I hate to just throw stuff in the trash that doesn't work for me.

I know it's not the most sanitary thing but yes I have with family and very close friends.
1My roommate and I are constantly swapping makeup and then returning it to each other. For instance, I usually opt for brown eyeliner, but she wears black so sometimes I'll borrow it. I know it sounds gross, especially when it's eyeliner, but we're very close! We also are constantly borrowing each other's lip glosses when we go out.

3I swap with my mom when we get something that we're not going to use as a free gift or something. I use all her stuff! Yes, I'm 30 years old and still try on my mom's makeup!

12I give my friends my unused and lightly tested items but never items that have been used on a regular basis.
13I would never really have anything to swap because if I buy something I don't like on or find I'm not using I take it back for a return or exchange.
