I hope everyone is having (or has had) a great Wednesday!
I wanted to share with you a look for nails that I love and always get a lot of compliments on. It looks really hard, but it's actually really easy, you just have to take your time.

Without flash:

I used OPI's Nail Envy as a basecoat and yesterday I placed two coats of Bourjois So Laque! in Dangereusement Rouge no. 16 on top of the basecoat. I let that dry for a half a day (to make sure I didn't crease it during the night) and this morning I added a layer of Essence African Queen nail polish (which is a brown with a hint of gold glimmer in it). The African Queen is very see through and I wanted a little redness to warm up the brown so layering creates my perfect colour.
I then took some scotch tape (the white kind you can write on) and took a piece of about 5 cm long and cut that into two equal triangles... and then took those triangles in half again creating 4 thin pointy triangles out of each piece. I then placed 4 pieces on my nails working in a circle keeping the points together in a "corner" and making the untaped pieces about the same size.
I then used OPI Nail Lacquer in Curry Up Don't Be Late! from the India Collection all over the nails and the tape. Then I took off the tape and these nails came out.
I'll add a topcoat tomorrow, I'm off to bed soon and I don't want to smudge it.
I hope you guys like it!

1that is sooooo hot! i love!!!
2wow, this is amazing!
3Thank you
4Classy nail art.
5You must have a really steady hand! Great job
6You are so much better at this stuff then me. I am too impatient to do all my nails with ONE colour nevermind two colours and patterend.
That colour choice reminds me Hersey's kises during christmas...with the carmael in the chocolate...YUM
"What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?" Ghandi
7It looks cool but it's way to old for my taste.

I love it. I might give it a try!
20That's a good idea! I really like them
21Wow thats great! Thanks for the idea
22That is soooooo amazing. I want to be able to do that!!!!
23beautiful!
24That is, as above noted, both gorgeous and awesome.
Also, thanks for the tip about the Scotch tape! I would never have thought of that in a million years. Now I'm curious as to what other stellar nail art can be made with that method (and whether the polish is likely to smear when someone less meticulous than you takes off the tape).
25OMG that's gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous!
26I totally agree with Lady J9 ... I was at Target today ... looking at nail polish ... thinking of different designs I could do with tape ...
27You can do a lot of designs
I did a Scottish Tartan once (it took
2 days to build up).
28Scottish Tartan! CCee you're definitely an amazing nail artist with a steady hand. Do you have any photos from that?
29Nope, sadly I don't. I wasn't taking pictures then. I might do it again near Christmas.
30I doubt I could ever pull that off.
31Sure you can! it just takes a little practise
32Gorgeous! I could never do it
33I love it very hott!
