Has anyone done this? It is apparently amazing. I have known a few people who have dropped 2 dress sizes doing this. I don't think it is permanent but of course the website I found said it is. Here are a few Q's & A's for those who don't know what I am talking about:
Q. What is The Body Wrapâ„¢?
A. The Body Wrapâ„¢ is a method for helping to visually slenderize and contour your body shape and visibly tighten your skin in only 60 minutes. It involves wrapping the body in porous elastic bandages soaked in a special mineral solution. The Body Wrapâ„¢ is applied firmly to areas needing inch loss and contouring and lightly where only skin tightening is desired. It is very healthful and relaxing.
Q. Why does it work?
A. Metabolic waste, chemicals, stress, medication and pollution in our environment overload body systems and cause water retention and soft spongy cellulite-ridden tissue. Our minerals and proven wrapping techniques compact and firm the body quickly.
Q. What will The Body Wrapâ„¢ do for my skin?
A. Our Patrons report that their skin appears smoother and tighter after wrapping. In fact, we have many Patrons who do not need to lose inches but need skin tightening because of weight loss or aging. Others are wrapped to tighten skin that has loosened over the years.
Q. What will The Body Wrapâ„¢ do for cellulite?
A. As you probably know, cellulite is water-logged fatty tissue. One of the first things women with this problem report is a visible improvement in the cellulite dimples and ripples within the first few wraps. Results, however, can be seen from the very first wrap.
Q. What is Body Sculpturing?
A. Body Sculpturing is the art of wrapping and shaping in the same process. When we wrap you, we not only improve overall size but contour as well. We have found that the body functions better in an aesthetically perfect shape.
Reason why I ask, is because I am curious. Wouldn't mind losing a few inches before my trip.

UPDATE: So, I got it done! I lost a total of 16.75inches. They take a lot of measurements so keep that in mind. The experience was odd but I would do it again. If anyone wants to know more specific info about my inches, or experience please feel free to PM me.

I would be afraid that its just dehydrating you. How often do you have to do it to maintain the look?
1I saw this on Vh1 and it was weird they make you exercise to helpo lose the water weight. It's with Ace bandages. The lady who did it, seem to lose inches but not weight as they only measured her and didn't take her weight.
2Well if you've got the money to burn, why not? Even if it doesn't work you should have nice soft skin afterwards
3They claim it is supposed to be permanent but I believe that it is just water weight too. A girl that got it done said she kept it off for 3 weeks. It would be great for a wedding or something. At least that is what I have been thinking. LOL!
4I wonder if it's a noticeable difference. Sometimes when people lose on diets where they fast and its water weight it's noticeable. I wonder if this is. If so, could I just get a friend to wrap me in ace bandages and workout like heck.
5I am not sure, good question. Apparently they are covered in a solution, not sure if they help or are just to fool you.
6This is a great way to make money in LA I bet, there are a lot of stars that try this.
7I agree with the other posters that say it is only temporary. A friend of mine at work has done this and it lasts for so many days then it has to be done again. She lost inches immediately so it may be great for a wedding, special date or a trip but I do not think it is the answer to permanent loss. I heard somewhere (can't remember where) that Bliss does a body wrap with "fat girl slim" and plastic wrap that does the same type of thing, oh well post and let us know if you try it!
8When they say you lose inches, you should know that they are adding up every millimeter of a difference and they take like 20 measurements all over your body. When they add up all the places they measured, that's how they get the # of inches. I think it's misleading.
9I am biting the bullet and going to get this done mid March. So, I will let everyone know how it goes.
10Interesting. Kiwi, please let us know how it works out for you. I have heard about it and seen places here where you can get it done, but have been very skeptical about it. Great post btw.
11I will let you know suebree! I will be keeping my fingerscrossed that it works.
12Hey All!! I am new to the group and have been reading all the comments on the Body Wraps. I have done the "wrap your whole body" wraps before myself. I especially like the way they make your skin feel - very soft and silky. My Mom has blood pressure issues so she couldnt be all wrapped up in the ace bandages. I have been using an at-home wrap because I have lost 83 pounds and needed some help with tightening up my skin. The wrap I am using really does work and the inches have not come back. I wrap once a week and target the area I want to work on. I have bought wraps from this company that target the body area, the face and the chin ( 3 different kinds of wraps). My husband is even using them!!
I don't want to do a commercial but if you would like more info on these wraps, you can get a box of 4 for less than $70. Each wrap is used one time and is all natural. I am even using these on my Mom's legs along with the Defining Gel they have to help with her varicose veins. And, yes, it has made a tremendous difference for her, as well.

I agree with everyone on the way to lose weight is to eat healthier and exercise. I have done that and am continuing to do that but at almost 49 years old, my skin just was not tightening up like I wanted it to. These wraps have done that for me and I am so happy with the results!!
