One of my most-used brushes. I cannot say enough good things about this brush! Go see for yourself!
My contacts at MAC are mum about it for now, but word on the street is that it will incorporate many of the colors that MAC artists used in McQueen's fall/winter 07 show (shown here). If that's the case, we can expect an update to Elizabeth Taylor's Cleopatra look: Egyptian eyes with kohl liner, matte green lids and well-defined brows.
The collection should be in stores in early October, and the packaging should be black with McQueen's signature in gold. It sounds irresistable—and sure to sell out fast—so I'll keep you posted on the details. Thanks to Specktra.net for the scoop! Source
Ok, there's some serious sale action going on right now at Bath & Body Works, both in stores and online. Until this Sunday, June 17, the retailer is offering up to 75 percent off select products, including a ton of cleansers and moisturizers priced at just $5, Bath & Body Works "classics" for $4, buy one, get one free home fragrances, and more.
I used to think of Bath & Body Works merely as a place to buy stuff like Sparkling Peach Shower Gel ($5 reduced from $9.50). But lately, the retailer is impressing me more and more, carrying upscale brands like Frederic Fekkai and C.O. Bigelow. To see some of my picks from the sale, read more
In this day and age, it's easy to make your lips look plumper. The hard part is finding a lip-plumping product that won't leave your mouth inflamed and burning with pain. I've sampled my fair share, and some of the products are just downright scary. DuWop Lip Venom produces a persistent burning sensation, while my experience with Freeze 24/7 Plump Lips Ice Sticks left me looking like I'd eaten too many jalapeño peppers.
Fortunately, there are some great lippies out there that give you a full, sexy pout without any pain. Here are three I've found, but if you know of others, tell me below.
Rather than go for immediate plumpness, LORAC Lotsa Lip Plumping Lipstick ($18.50) is designed to increase fullness over time by stimulating collagen and moisturizing your lips. I used this creamy lipstick for about a month, and while I wouldn't say my lips looked bigger, they definitely looked fluffed and fuller. Plus, it feels great.
Two more pain-free lip plumpers, so read more
Even if I weren't such a big fan of The Balm, I'd still find this contest incredibly cool. The brand's founder, Marissa Shipman, is asking fans to design the artwork for a new limited-edition ShadyLady eye shadow. The winning design will appear on a shadow sold exclusively in Sephora, and the winner will even get to consult on the name and color of the shadow. The second-place finisher will receive $300 worth of goodies from The Balm.
Beauty product junkies, graphic designers, and other hopefuls can submit their artwork from now until the contest ends on July 1, 2007, at 11:30 p.m. Pacific. To enter the contest and read all of the terms and conditions, just visit The Balm contest page.
I know it's hard to believe, but this Loose Mineral Foundation by Bella Donna ($50) was my first introduction into the wonderful world of mineral-powder foundations.
I know a lot of you use mineral foundation, but if not, here's the basic idea: The seemingly magical makeup comes in powder form, but when you sweep it across your face, you get the finish of a foundation. But while I'm totally sold on the mineral-makeup concept, I don't think that this foundation is right for me, so read more

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash ($22) is one of those products I hear about all the time but, until recently, had never tried. This face wash is marketed as a "two-in-one," because it combines a cleanser with "exfoliating gel," but really, it's a pretty basic face wash — that's a good thing — with tiny beads to help slough off dead skin.
The first thing I noticed about Fabulous Foaming Face Wash was the scent. The clear blue gel contains rose-hip extract, milk thistle, and passion flower, but the dominant essence is undoubtedly chamomile, which smells very natural and fresh.
Other than that, I wasn't bowled over by this cleanser the first time I used it. It was perfectly pleasant, but not exactly "fabulous," and the effect didn't feel that different from some good drugstore options, such as L'Oreal Pure Zone. However, the more I used it, the more I started to like it, so read more
Thanks to SheFinds for posting this rare and wonderful sale. Today, for one day only, Lancôme is offering 20 percent off everything on its web site. I really can't tell you how exciting this is, because Lancôme's products are truly luxurious but (obviously) quite expensive.
If you like the brand's stuff, now's the time to stock up. If you're new to Lancôme, I recommend the Définicils Pro Mascara, the great new Color Fever Gloss, and the Tonique Clarté toner. To get the discount, just enter the code EMPLOYEE when you check out. Happy shopping!
