Hey all...it's winter...lovely winter, and my lips are suffering from it! Or, maybe it's the new lipstick or lipgloss I've been wearing...either way, I have these terrible chapped lips, they actually hurt! I've tried everything, and am in need for a good fix. Because nothing is UNsexier than chapped lips...lol. OWWW!!! So please, any rec's would be great! Thanks!

Burt's Bees lip balm, or Natural Ice. Cherry Ice is better, but it's harder to find. And switch up your chap sticks. I find that if I use the same kind all the time my lips feel even more dry. I think chap stick companies put crack in their wax. Carmex is the worst for that. If you use it, definitely get a second brand to switch off with.
1avon natural lipbalm always works very well for me and it comes i great flavours
2I just started using Mary Kay's Satin Lips and it's fantastic. The best stuff I've ever used. There's a duo kit, the lip scrub/mask and then the balm. I used the mask once and then the balm once every morning for totally soft lips.
And, make sure to drink plenty of water!
3I like Burt's Bees.
4I swear by Aptiva's Propoline. That stuff works better than anything I've ever used. And, I agree with SPM! Drink lots of water!
5You ladies are awesome...THANK YOU!!! I think I might go to the store tomorrow and pick up a few of your ideas...I need to stock up anyway!
(((HUGS))) for saving my lips! lol
6I use Badger Lip and Body balm it's really good or just pile on lots of vaseline
7Good old Carmex
8i use laura mercier lip silk right now but it is a bit pricey. i have used burts bees and clinique's all about lips in the past and both worked really well.
9Awesome...I've seen burts bees but never had tried it...seems popular here, maybe I'll invest. I think they offer cute little packs too, don't they?
I really appreciate all your rec's...thank you, girls!
10Vaseline does work. I put in on my kids chapped lips and windburned cheeks in the winter. If it feels greasy put it on before you go to bed. I also use Lipsciption from Benefit. It has the beaded scrub and a tube of lip balm.
11burts bee's does work very well i agree and like everyone else when you have nothing use good old vaseline
12My oldest could not say vaseline and called it Kasolina!! It was really cute to hear him.
13That's super cute, Lisa! Kasolina it is.
14...and burt's bees is priced pretty cheap. yeah jaime you can buy burt's bees in gift packs.
15kasolina
i love it!!!
16We still call it that
17that's so cute
18one great emergency overnight treatment for healing badly chapped and cracked lips is squeezing a vitamin E capsule on your lips right before you go to bed and leaving it on overnight... it helps with the healing and also leaves your lips very soft. after this i usually follow with carmex or the blue blistex that comes in a little jar throughout the day
19Hmm...awesome! Thanks, neni!
I might try that tonight to help me until I pickup the
other girl's rec's tomorrow...
20i never heard that neni about the capsule. interesting. thanks for sharing.
21I like the Lip Vitamins, they have done wonders in keeping my lips unchapped this winter.
22i would definatly go w/ burts bees cooling lip balm...it always makes my lips soft
23Yeah, Burt's Bee's is the best! Its minty, but not too minty.
24always use Burt's Bees or Carmex. Hope that your lips feel better soon, mine are very chapped right now too.
25Burt Bees
26I'm also a fan of Burt's Bees...my sister loves Chicken Poop...
In case of emergency, putting regular body lotion on your lips works just fine!
27I really like Burt's Bees Wax alot but Mary Kay's Satin Lips is good too
28Ick! I could never do regular lotion on my lips.
29Wow, think I'll "BEE" picking up Burt's Bees today...lol Seems most everyone loves that stuff...can't wait to try it! Thanks so much everyone!!!
30Vaseline is the best! And if you wanna put it on your lips during the day, just put on a really small amount. you can even mix it with some lip gloss to add some colour. Just keep putting it on all day long.
31Vaseline has a weird taste and smell.
32oops, posted before I was finished....but, it does work really well on chapped lips.
33This blog was written a long time ago, but I am still going to put my recommendation in anyway! The best product in the whole universe for dry lips is Benefit's Smoooch. It's $20, and it's amazing. I use it every day!
34The only thing that I have tried that works is "lip vitamins" in the blue and white tube which is hard to find. I have tried everything on the market and nothing has helped my lips like this stuff. I have gone through all of chapsticks products, bonne belle, mary kay, burt's, carmex, aquafina, you name it I have tried it to no
avail. I have spent pppllleeennntttyyy of dollars and nothing worked
When I began using the lip vitamins it was the summer my lips were moist but they absorb everything and with this they seem to still stay moist and I continued through the winter and noticed that my lips were not chapped, cracked or peeling.
So I would suggest that you try this. And at .99 that is the best one that I have had yet and I buy them 20-40 at a time to make sure I do not run out since they are hard to find, Rite-Aid, Longs and Wal-Mart is supposed to have it good luck finding it.
