I recently purchased Wen's cleansing conditioner after seeing how great it worked on QVC (I don't know why I'm addicted to QVC, but I LOVE it ).
I was really, really, really hoping that this would be the "holy grail", some kind of secret amazing hair product that would transform my dry frizzy curly hair into a sleek master piece.
I'll just be blunt: it DIDN'T!!! And I really wanted it to be worth it.
Not only do you pay a lot, you get a tiny bottle! Find it here for $28.00 www.hollywoodbeautysecrets.com/bpwen.php not like that's extremely expensive, not like I wouldn't shell that out for something that did what it promised, but it didn't so to me that's a lot of money to just waste on a container full of crap.
OK, crap is kinda harsh... It did "clean" my hair. I'll just say that my hair wasn't "dirty" after cleansing, and my hair did feel soft. It smelled of robutusson, not exactly sexy. It also looked awful : frizzy, limp, dull, thin, kinda grimy, my color looked stripped, my scalp felt dirty. Not what they promised : full, bouncy, shiny, thick, color protector... I hoped it would have done all those things, then I would have found my magic hair repair. Maybe it works better for some than others? You decide. But this was my experience with Wen. I'm on to Ojon, maybe that will actually work??
Well here's what they say about it at: www.hollywoodbeautysecrets.com/bpwen.php
WEN FIG CLEANSING CONDITIONING SHAMPOO
The concept of not using shampoo to cleanse hair is something that Chaz Dean, a Hollywood colorist and stylist, implemented in 1993. Harsh detergents found in most shampoos fade, strip dry and create dull, lifeless hair, dry scalps, scalp disorders, hair loss and more.
Fig Cleansing Conditioner cleanses hair without lathering, while adding sheen, luster, moisture and manageability to the hair. Color lasts much longer and it also stimulates scalp promoting blood circulation which can help stop hair loss. This non-lathering shampoo cleanses, conditions and adds shine to all hair types. Fig is a universal cleanser with moisturizing properties that can help strengthen, rehydrate and add shine to fine, medium, coarse, thick, color treated , heat or chemically damaged hair. Dozens of Hollywood celebs use WEN Fig Cleansing Conditioner. A top seller!
Directions: Wet hair. Then apply 12 to 16 pumps of WEN to palms of hands and rub together. Apply to scalp, massaging vigorously and add more water if needed while shampooing the hair. WEN has no detergents so it won't lather. After massaging, either comb through hair or leave on for 3 - 5 minutes for maximum conditioning. Rinse for 30 seconds to one minute, massaging scalp. You may also apply 1 to 3 pumps as a leave-in conditioner for end of hair.
NOTE: To stop hair loss or for those with receding hair line or thinning hair, follow with our other best seller, WEL Scalp Stimulator, to scalp area after shampooing. Click here for Scalp Stimulator.

Have you ever used Aussie? It's the cheap way to transform dry, unmanageable hair.. I swear by it
1bummer! thanks for the review. one more thing i don't have to buy.
2OMG, he really promotes this as the last shampoo you would ever use. I am so glad I never bought it, I was tempted. Thanks for the info.
3I used it again tonight, thinking maybe I did something wrong, or just had build up. This time I didn't blow dry my hair straight, I thought maybe the heat drying caused it to frizz, so I just let it air dry. Same stinking results!! This is going in the garbage!!! He wants you to use 22 pumps of this stuff!! And pump it in as a leave in-- waaay over kill!! I even used less pumps this time and my hair still looks grungy! So upset!!!
4Awww sorry Urban, yeah you are suppose to wash and then use it as a conditioner. Thanks for giving us the product 411.
5Smells like Robitussin? Definitely not a glowing review! I'm sorry, UrbanMommy!
6Technically it works, it cleans your hair. If you don't care what your hair looks like and you just want a non shampoo natural cleanser, then try it out. but if you want your hair to actually look good- don't buy it!
7I think it would be good for ppl with dreadlocks.
8He really should move from the Hollywood scene to the hippie crowd and market it towards ppl that have dreads or really long grimy looking hair, that don't mind their hair looking kinda dirty.
9I have no comment with the dreadlock statement. Sighs.
10I a total hippie at heart, i just dont look like one!
11At one point in my life, I took the calls for the Chaz Dean Wen Healthy Haircare System. What we told people is: if you have oily OR FINE hair, you should be using the Cucumber Aloe Cleansing Conditioner. I've never tried the product. I have no idea if it's awesome or crap, but it sounds to me like you had the wrong kind. I assume that it would be like using an intensivly mosturizing shampoo on oily hair. The wrong product for your situation.
12I ordered the starter kit and am on day 3 of using it. I think you may not have used enough (yes it is expensive and YES they have you use a lot) and perhaps didn't follow the instructions to the letter. You may need to use another "flavor", I know that I may change to one specifically for fine hair. Lavender maybe?
13I love it, feel like I am wearing someone else's hair.... someone with silky full of body hair. I HATE dirty hair, so it's not like it feels and looks dirty and I don't care.
The way they have you apply it seems SO WRONG! (Like when I started the Atkins diet and had a hard time NOT doing fat free.) To me it seemed like it would be greasy and dirty feeling and looking. But I followed the directions to the letter and I love it.
In looking at the videos I think that if you call customer service they can advise you on a different one to use if it doesn't seem to be right for you. I will probably call them myself, see if I can get even more volume with one of the other flavors.
Sorry it didn't work for you! You can return it for your money back!
