I spent hours on Sephora.com looking for a good olive and didn't come across one. I have a true green but I'm dying for an olive green.
I need something that goes on well - not too light and not too dark. And a bit of shimmer is fine but nothing too sparkly.
Can anyone recommend a good olive shadow?

benefit makes a nice olive color called "Gone Fishing", but it is matte. A few years ago I picked up a nice green quad set from Revlon, named "Spring Moss", this set had a little shimmer to it.
1Go to www.Clinique.com and check out the Colour Surge Eye Shadow Soft Shimmer in Juniper. I have the Autumn Moss and it appears on me more olive than a brown color, so that might be what you are looking for.

The color to me looks different in person than online. I own Autumn Moss, Foxy, Taupestry and Confetti. So you might want to go to a Clinique counter and check them out.
I need to figure out how to do that one word link
2I would try the MAC eye shadows, Velvet Moss and Sumptuous Olive.
3I like BE glimpse eyeshadow in Soiree. I also Beauty Marked a nice kit for you. http://teamsugar.com/group/88093/beautymarks/399461

6Ooh, thanks for all the feedback, guys!
I've been dying to go to the MAC counter, maybe I'll just do that so I can see the shadows in person. I really like the other ones that everyone recommended, too, but I'm always afraid that the color swatches online won't match the real shadow.
7Found one! A cheap one at that!
I was at Target and found an olive shadow by Boots. It's their Botannicals line and the shadow is slightly shimmery. And it was only $3.99! Of course, I had to buy a magnetic palette and two more shadows to fit INTO the palette, but it was under $18 total.
The other shadows I bought were chamomile (shimmery ivory) and nutmeg (a rosy taupe). I'll review later.
8oooooo I have nutmeg!!!!!!! I think I did a review of it awhile back...I dont really remember.
Anyways I know exactly what shade you are talking about Whip! I recently went and bought the palette and two other shades too ( I got bamboo and I cant remember the other shade- ginger something I think)
9mark vintage khaki- can be used wet or dry too!
10I have nutmeg, too. I finally picked up the palette and two more shades to go with my first.
I don't know if it's actually olive or not, but I ♥ MAC's Greensmoke.
