Here's a debate question. Which do you prefer? Homemade facials, or store bought ones? Homemade facials are great, since you can find things like honey and avocado right at home. The only problem is, with avocados, they tend to rot after about a week. The at-home facials you can buy from the store that come in a tube, I find are much more worthwhile. Although it is nice to try something new every once in a while. Recently, I tried a honey and apple facial. Just grate one medium sized apple, and mix with five tablespoons of honey! It's as easy as that. Apply it to your face and neck (you don't have to put it on your neck if you don't want to), and wait ten minutes before washing it off with cool water. The good thing about this facial; apples don't go bad for a long time if stored in the fridge, and as long as honey is sealed properly it will stay fresh.
The ones that come in a tube you can buy, are great also. For example there's a product called Freeman's Avocado and Oatmeal Mask. It is made with mostly natural ingredients, AND it's not tested on animals. Oatmeal and avocado have great benefits for skin. Oatmeal helps keep skin clear, and has Vitamin E. Avocado is great at moisturizing skin, leaving it softer and soothed.

I prefer store bought ones, just because I like things to last a good while and it's alot faster for me. That mask you put up looks good.
1I tend to buy them at the store, although quite a few of the ones I've bought from LUSH (Cosmetic Warrior, Cupcake) have expiration dates within a week or two, because they're made fresh and sold that way. Plus, it's much messier to make your own... although that apple and honey mask sounds intriguing - I don't think I've ever heard of it before!
2I always just buy them at the store. It's too much of hassle for me to get my kitchen all messy whenever I don't need to. I really like Freeman's products. I've had good luck with them as well.
3oh! that's the mask i'm using!

i wish i had but maybe in the summer..
4mine's the old version with the old packaging
it has fine granules which isn't harsh on my sensitive skin and it does work wonders as i have a weekly ritual of putting it on (usually on a Friday night after a rigorous week)
i prefer the store-bought ones, rather than the homemade facials..don't have the time to those homemade stuff.
I do mostly store bought masks. They are just so much easier. I love Freeman's stuff. That is typically what I buy.
5I definitely prefer homemade facials, I like the all natural way
6Cool, thanks for your comments and opinions everybody
) I love how its so easy to make.
7bailaoragaditana: I know, the apple and honey mask is delicious! (I make sure to put it on my face than in my mouth when I make it
Store. They're faster and easier.
