Ok, so many of us normal to dry skin types get abandoned. Everyone has oily skin and no one talks about products specifically for our skin type. During the summer, most of us scrape by with normal skin, but once it gets cold outside our skin dies. I just want to say, "You are not alone." I've made a few discoveries and I want to share my bounty with you guys
.

It all started when I got my deluxe sample of Nude Skincare Cleansing Facial Oil. I wasn't ready to believe it would work, but it did, but I still cheated on it and used a soap cleanser, but when I ran out of soap cleanser I just used the oil and I could see an improvement in the texture of my skin. It was like a miracle
. I ran out of the Nude Cleanser and went on Sephora to check the price...$52
, I almost died. A little does go a long way, but at the moment I just can't afford that. So I went on a hunt for an affordable oil based cleanser. The drug store cleansers only had oil in it, but were mostly soapy. Bath and Body Works had nothing, The Body Shop didn't have a very good option and Aveda was a bust too. I was ready to give up and order something online even though I needed something for my face now, until I hit Origins. The people at Aveda told me to try them. Origins was the Motherland, I found what I was searching for. Their Clean Energy: Gentle Cleansing Oil is $18.50 and I bought it on Holiday Sale for $13.87. I also bought the pump for 75 cents.

"A healthier looking future for skin begins here. This lightweight, high-tech, hybrid formula with non-comedogenic, Olive, Sunflower, Sesame and Safflower Oils removes dirt, makeup and pollutants with high efficiency. Kukui Nut and Macadamia help protect precious natural moisture resources. Vitamin E helps reduce effects of environmental hazards such as irritation that can threaten the comfort of skin. Skin breathes freely. And the energizing aroma of Grapefruit, Orange and Lemon renew your spirits.
HOW TO USE: Gently massage onto dry skin with fingertips. Add warm water to transform oil to milky lotion. Rinse off or remove with a cleansing cloth.
Clean Energyâ„¢ Gentle cleansing oil is for all skin types."
I actually like this better than Nude. It smells amazing and my skin glows after I wash it. I will never go back. Oil based based cleanser keeps that "tight" feeling at bay and leave less work to do for my moisturizer. Now speaking of moisturizers. I was at BBW buying lipgloss when I'd thought I'd check up on moisturizers since I ran out of my Body Shop moisturizer. I wasn't particularly happy with my BS moisturizer. It wasn't strong enough. I used to use Rice, but BBW discontinued it. The sales associate showed me Wexler and C.O. Bigelow. The Wexler system was expensive and seemed a bit much, plus I like the Bigelow brand so I went with them.

"This super-moisturizing face cream provides the ultimate in restorative moisture for dry skin without a heavy feel. We combine carrot extract with ultra-moisturizing shea butter. Our nutrient-rich, restorative preparation is Step 3 in C.O. Bigelow's Face Care regimen and leaves skin feeling velvety soft. Use day or night.Fragrance-Free. Non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic. The Incredibly Moisturizing Face Cream - For Dry Skin is awesome. It takes a while to soak in, but I like that. When it dries it leaves your skin feeling velvety and "sealed" (for lack of better word) against drying out. At $20 (1.7 oz) it's a bit more than drug store, but it is still affordable and you don't have to use a whole lot. It's a heavy gel-cream, that is truly for dry skin.
Seriously these products have saved my skin, they're my HG and the only way you're going to take them away from me is by prying them out of my cold dead hands.
Say hello to my healthy moisturized skin...
Debenhams
wow...I've never tried oil based as a solution for my dry skin, but right now I'm using a line by the company Booth's, the moisturizer works pretty well.
1xoxo...
Neither had I Kpearson, but that's the beauty of samples, you get try things you never might have. Anyways, clearly, I highly recommend it. You go from "pretty good" results to "perfect". I almost forgot to moisturize one day my skin felt so hydrated. That never happens to me, my skin is always too tight and dry after I wash it to forget.
2Whooa your skin looks awesome!
I feel like I am the last person in the world to discover this, but just in case: Neutrogena Light Sesame Body Oil is amaaazing to put on right after you towel off when you get out of the shower. I live in a snowy, cold climate with high heat, and it's saved my skin!
3Thanks Snow, my skin looked liked sand paper just a week ago, so definitely a testament to the Cleansing Oil.
I've used baby oil on occasion for my body after I've washed up and then rinsed it off. It's a pretty classic move
.
4I may have to try this. I am using "Hope in Jar" by Sephora but I find it is drying my skin out more. It makes my skin soft when i first put it on but by the afternoon my skin is drier than when I first applied my moisturizer. Thanks for the tip on this product.
5Your skin looks very good.
