Hi everyone,
Remember the "Eye look: Lit from within (White)" (http://teamsugar.com/group/88093/blog/1990660) I posted yesterday?
I said that I'd change my nails to go with it later that day... and I did... here is what I used and how it looks.

I started by taking off the old nail polish, I've been cleaning a lot lately so my nails need a little extra care and for this I use Herome Nail Hardner (and at night I use: W.S. Badger Company's - Cuticle Care and Healing Balm on my cuticles and hands, and I also use Herome Hydrating Nail Gel and Nourishing Nail Oil on clean nails on moments I wear no nail polish).
When the Hardner dried I used two coats of white nail polish and I let that dry for about 2 hours.
To create a perfect round blue edge I used sellotape (the white kind you can write on) and nail scissors to cut a round shape in the tape and used that as a mark for where the blue should begin. You can buy these already made, but this is just as easy and you can even use it to create a less natural shape (I've had straight lines, triangles etc. on my nails).
One coat of blue was enough and when that was dry I used a top coat (make sure the blue is dry or you'll get smudges in your white nail polish).

I seen a girl on you tube do a look like this, but she had a natural tone for the base and a soft pink on the tips. Really cute they way you two did it!

Wow, I really love this look. I'm definitely going to try out something similar whenever my nails grow out a little. They're way too short to attempt this now.

12CCee, You are a Guru of make-up for me!
Thank you, for your constant inspiration.
Chic and fun.
13Thank you Lappolga!! That's why I do it, to inspire!
Leeluvfashion, if you do it with black instead of the metallic blue it looks more tough girl, that's why I chose this colour... if you use a silver colour instead of the white it's even more chic.
14Hmm, I'm pretty sure I have a silver tone (if not, then I know what to add to my shopping list
) White and silver sounds like a beautiful combination. I love mixing the polishes to create that contrast.
15I had a great barcode on my nails once.... White as a base and then black lines to create the barcode, that was fun
I might show you guys how to do this when Halloween hits the US.
16Such a fun idea; I would love to see that for Halloween.
17Not my fav CCee but you can't please all of us, all the time; plus I don't wear polish on my fingernails.
