Hey everybody!
It's Friday night and I'm car-less, so I just decided to try my hand at a tutorial and post it here to see how it goes!
First of all, these are the products I used:
Medusa's Makeup lipgloss in Sparkle Mania, Clinique High Impact Mascara, Medusa's Makeup blush in Dangerous Liaison, Kryolan UV Aquacolor in UV Green, Milani single e/s in Garden, Medusa's Makeup eye dust in Soylent Green, and black sparkle eyeliner from Hot Topic.
First, Apply foundation, concealer, and powder (as you usually would). This time I used Kryolan Ultrafoundation for my face and a lighter color as a concealer for undereyes, and applied no powder. However, if you were to go out, it's recommended because it sets the makeup.
Next, I applied a toner over my eyelids to make really sure they were clean of any oils or concealer that might have ended up there. The reason I did this, was that I was using Kryolan Aquacolor, and the color won't stick if there's gunk on the lids.
I wet a concealer brush in mixing medium (this one's a gel I got at a theater supply store) and swirled it over the color cake to moisten it and create a paint.
Next, i dabbed (not swiped!) the color over the lids from lash line to crease, kinda following the natural shape of the lid. I smudged it a bit on the edges so I wouldn't have any harsh lines. This is easiest to do with a Q-tip, or your finger. Be careful not to smudge the rest of the color. Let it dry.
Using a medium default (lol) shadow brush, I then patted a light shimmery green (milani "garden") over the neon base, all the way up to the browbone, blending at the crease with a windshield-wiper motion to further erase the line that was created before.
After this, I took a flat brush and dipped it into Medusa's Makeup eye dust in Soylent Green. I applied the color into the crease (the flat brush helps you be more precise) and extended a bit outwards to create a sort of cat-eye shape.
Very carefully, I blended it towards the center of the eyelid (downward) . With the same brush, I applied the same darker green all over the lower lash line, bringing the line up to meet the cat-eye shape of the upper lid.
I blended the edges of the cat-eye upwards into the crease to kinda smooth everything out a bit.
I applied black liner on top lids only, three coats (yes, i'm obsessive like that!) of mascara on top lashes only, Medusa's Makeup Dangerous Liaison on the apples of my cheeks and Sparkle Mania gloss on the lips ( clear with sparkles).
End result:
close up of eye + cheek
Done! I hope you all enjoyed it, and understood it well. Any questions feel free to ask!!!
Have a nice weekend, everyone
