A couple of people have commented on my avatar saying that they like it - thanks ladies! Also, a couple of people suggested that I show what my eyes looked like so here are a couple of shots of them. (Mind you, I was in a dark room when I re-did the look a week or so ago
)
I used mostly MAC makeup for this look.
Eyes: Smudgepot base; Carbon, Club & Espresso shadows plus Blanc Type as a highlight; Blacktrak liner, Dior Show in Blackout
With regards to doing the eyes. When using a very dark color on the lids, it's best to not go up into the crease as one normally would. As you can see, I only went up to the point where my lids actually showed, not into the crease. I wanted to add "something" to the crease though so I put the brown (espresso) in there to give it more depth. Just a tip!
Face: Laura Mericier Foundation Primer (Essential!), LM Tinted Moisturizer, and a touch of LM MM for shine control. LM bronzer in Golden Bronze (I do like StudioFix for intense looks like this though - I just recently got a bit of a tan and need to purchase a new color)
Lips: Red Enriched cremestick liner, Cyber lipstick & Desire Lipglass
So, there ya go
I've also been spending a lot of time at the MAC and Laura Mercier counters and have a ton of new things to share.. more to come!

Michael Kors

Wow, I am so loving this look. I love these colors but have not been able to get them to really look right. Thanks for the tips, I am going to try these for an evening party tonight. btw, your hair is just amazing as well!
1great job- you look great!
2Nice explanation of how to do the eyes. I'm not very good at advanced techniques, lol. Cool lip color. Love the shine!
3Gorgeous!
4nice tip and great look! You look fab!! I want to try some of that lipglass and LM!!
5Thanks ladies! You are so kind
I'm glad you like the look!
As far as tips go, I will be providing more info as I have been learning a lot from two very good artists.
I forgot to mention that I first put down the Eye Basics eyelid primer from LM. I used it in wheat all over the lid. I only used the smudgepot from MAC on the lower part of the lid because that stuff is very sticky. When you apply makeup using the Smudgepot, it the shadow Will stay in place, so you have to be really careful where you apply it. I think it's a great product though because it shows the intensity of the colors.
Have fun trying it out!
6Your eyes look amazing. I can't believe how well some of you pop girls are at doing your own eye make-up. I wish I was half as good. Also, I LOVE your haircut.
7Thanks for the compliments on my new hairstyle! You're so sweet
8I love this look, especially the lips! But I'm not brave enough to try it!
9Very pretty! I love the whole look...hair and makeup!
10This combination looks gorgeous! I like how the lip color makes the red tone in your hair pop more; lovely contrast.
11Thanks for the comments on my hair! Lee: I guess it is a good combo
12I like this look, a dark eye look which is not overdone, and set off with the dark plum/red lips. And I also think your hair style and color really bring out the sleek and sexy overall feel---in a good way.
13Way to go!!!
Thanks retail! You are so kind
I really do have to be careful of what colors I use
because of my oh-so-dramatic hairstyle and colors.
It's nice to
know that I'm not the only one who thinks this worked well.
14Hi Ladies! I just took a good look at the Nordstrom's site and found that not all of the products (including many pigments) are listed for Colour Forms. If you can find a Nordstrom's near you it would be best to look there soon and get them pre-sale.
15That's my problem, don't have one within 4-5 hours distance, just plain tooooooo far with gas prices, so will have to stick to online!
16Glided green from the Color Forms is really nice and wearable. It is my sister's fav eye color look now.
Kahribar: There are other beauty blogs out there that show you the swatches for the pigments if you don't want to go all the way to the store. Try looking up specktra, or temptalia. They have amazing photos and color descriptions.
17Thanks Retail! doing it now
18You look fab!!!
