I am finally ready to share with the world:
I don't like Nars Orgasm blush. It's waay too sparkly for my tastes. Not to mention the price tag, whoo....
However, I do like the color of it. It's a nice peach pink, I'm sure without the sparkles it would look natural and I do agree that it's a pretty flattering shade.
Now my secret: I've been using Cover Girl Cheekers blush in Rose Silk for as long as I can remember. Not until recently I discovered that the color is almost exactly that of the oh-so-favored Orgasm... Minus the glittering! It's not exactly matte, more of a slight golden shimmer. And the price tag? Usually between $3-$5 at any drugstore/Walmart/Kmart.

1I used to use a CG blush that was very similar to Orgasm also. I wonder if it was the same shade.
2It is very close. Actually, I like the color on the right more. And, I love the fact it's not shimmery but, it has a hint of gold to it. I've got to mark this in my favorites so, I don't forget to pick it up. Thanks for sharing.
3Wow, I am a huge NARS fan - and their orgasm blush is a staple in my beauty collection. But, after seeing this photo, I am out to buy the CG one to see if it can, indeed, replace my pricey obsession!

5I use CG Cheekers too, in Plumberry Glow. I, like you, refuse to spend over $6 for a blush. I don't even think I've EVER used a different brand!

Well, I was ust gonna order the Nars blush, I thought it was an amazing color, but I may decide on the Cover Girl instead. Thanks for posting.
8They are close. I don't think I would like my blush to be shimmery. My skin gets oily as it is and shimmer is not good for me! My absolute favorite blush is the one from Neutrogena, I forget the name, but it's the one with all the different blush color squares in it. The Rose Silk is pretty, tho

10dlmslp: maybe you could give it a test run with the CG and if you decide you like it, later on splurge on NARS. (or stay with the CG, as I have!)
11I like the colors of CG blushes..I think I had natural glow for a while which was pretty, but the smell is so strong, I cannot deal with it. All the CG stuff is so scented as well as Loreal Lipsticks(big gripe). That is why I cannot deal with drugstore products.
Also CG blushes are cheaper, but you get so much more in the Nars packaging.
12funny, I've never noticed said scent on CG blushes. I do agree with you on the L'Oreal lipsticks though. They are very strongly scented, sometimes it makes me a little nauseus :S then again, Lancome and Estee Lauder have lipsticks that are also scented.
13The CG blush I have isn't a cheekers one, but a Classic Color or something, which is a waay bigger package. I've had it for years now...
I used Nars Orgasm for years!!! I recently switched to Nars Deepthroat (one of my splurges) but if there is a shade close to either of these at a drugstore price...I'm there!!! Thanks a ton!
