in an article about Dita von Teese, she claims that she takes vitamins which help her avoid tanning. She also mentions that certain foods accelerate tanning.
Any clue as to what these vitamins/foods might be?
Thanks!!

yeah, I read something about her regarding this, too. I am not sure about the specific pills or foods, but I do remember running across this blog a couple weeks ago about sunscreen pills:

She does a great job explaining the products and ingredients. Not sure what I think of sunscreen pills, though.
I'd love it if I could take a pill and be protected from the sun but I'm not sure about these actually working.

2Thanks for the post! Sofi, thanks for the link! I have never looked into taking pills for this before. Very interesting!
3Dr. Oz (The doc that's always on Oprah...) did a show on the Discovery Channel and a segment was on this topic. Lycopene, which is in tomatoes, tomato paste, etc can slow down the burn process. They made a lady eat so many ounces of tomato paste a day (she smeared it on crackers) and they tested her skin every month with UVA/UVB lights. It worked!!!! She was a fair skinned redhead who couldn't even go to her son's soccer game without lathering up with 45 every day. It really worked for her. I don't know about eating a ton of tomato paste everyday... but there is probably a pill out with lycopene in it I would imagine.
4yeah, there are lycopene pills- it is also good for heart disease and a friend's dad always gets them from somewhere?
5Lycopene pills are very good for you, however, they are quite expensive. Great to hear how this worked for someone!
6Thanks Sofi, great info!
