When I started wearing makeup I used Almay's Eye Liner "lasts up to 16 hours Won't smudge".
ALMAY® eyeliner
Define your eyes with beautiful 16-hour color. This water-resistant, smudge-proof formula stays true and stays put. Vitamin E nourishes and protects your delicate eye area. Built-in sharpener keeps point sharp and definition precise.
To Use: Apply close to base of lashes, above upper lashes and below lower lashes.
hypoallergenic • fragrance-free • non-irritating • ophthalmologist, dermatologist, clinically and allergy tested • suitable for contact lens wearers *Note - their claim, not mine
I thought that I could do better. I've been trying out a lot of eyeliners recently. I have used everything from MAC's Fluidline, UD liners and down the list. I have decided that for my basic and easy-to-use eyeliner, Almay's is the best. It goes on smooth. It lasts a whole day without smudging. It has a built-in sharpener for thin lines. It can also be applied so close to the lash line that you don't even need to tightline. I can also use it on the fleshy part of my lower lid without it getting in my eyes or irritating them at all. I do, however, wipe it each time I do use it on the inner lid.
Has anyone else tried this? What is your opinion on the product? Would you try Almay's eye liner even though you almost always use high-end products?

Gorgeous
I have Almay eyeliner as well as higher end liners. For me the Almay lasts all day, I don't know about 16 hours but it does a good job. Currently I'm hooked on Makeup Forever eyeliners, they do a tad bit better job staying longer. But I did not order one in black so that's when I picked up Almay's. It's a good buy at a great price!
1I have an Almay liner, I don't know if it's the same kind as this. I guess I like it, but I still prefer my Revlon eyeliner. I also like the Revlon better than the Urban Decay liner I got from Sephora.
2Cool.
I've never tried their eyeliner. Looks like I might have to.
3I haven't tried it but I definitely would - it doesn't bother me whether things are high end or mega cheap - if I like it, I'll use it! I don't know if you get Rimmel in USA but I use their eyeliner and it's as good as the expensive brands.
4I'm happy to hear that most of you enjoy it! I will try out the Makeup Forever as well. Romania: I know you've been trying to get me to try Revlon's for quite some time
A woman I talked to that was doing my manicure last week had problems with it smudging all
the time, so I'm a little weary. Also, the Almay you picked up probably is the same kind (unless it's from their eye coordinating set).
5Missy: They do have Rimmel here... does it stay on all day?
I think my mom might have that Almay liner, but I haven't tried it... I might give it a go, though, because I'm always looking for liner that will actually stay on - I've had the best luck so far with Bobbi Brown gel liner, but even that won't stay unsmudged all day/night on my inner rims
6I have to say, this stuff is really good. I put some on this morning and took a picture. I will do another one tonight to show you ladies.
Although I love MAC's Fluidline (for the colors especially).. I don't want to take out my brush all of the time and the gel doesn't stay put as easily when I'm trying to apply it. I've tried three different brushes. It also smudges very easily. Also, when I try to put it on the inner rim, little pieces of it slide into my eye! It tends to stick there eventually.. but who wants eyeliner in their eyes??? I use the Almay in the lower inner rim because it stays on.
Oh, and if any of you have a Longs drugstore nearby... all of Almay's makeup products are on sale now ($2 off).
7No I wouldn't say Rimmel lasts all day areidz but it's nice and soft and smudgy, which I like. The lasting power is not bad for a cheapie though.
8I have been looking for a new eyeliner. I might pick this up next week when I'm at the store. I remember using Almay before and liking the product.
9I hardly ever wear eyeliner. But, I have used some "high end" ones. I don't think that just because something cost more always means better. I think Almay is a good company. I haven't tried this one, but it sure sounds good. I really like it that is has vit E.
10Alright, I checked mine and I have the Almay Intense I-color Eyeliner. So it might be a different formula. I will buy this at some point so I can see how it stacks up against my Revlon Colorstay, The Colorstay has a little smudge period for a few minutes after applying, but once it's on it stays on well, I think. It is also a pain to remove at night
! But one great thing about it is that it has a wide range of nice colors, teal, navy, bronze, brown, a
dark maroon/purple, browns and black. I have almost every one, but the maroon one, called Vixen, because it has a pigment in it that I am allergic too... but that was one of my favorite
colors ever!
11Ah, yes! The 16 hour is hard to remove as well. I believe it only comes in Black, Black/Brown and Brown. Just your average colors. I'm thinking of using it as a base for other liners - maybe they'll grab onto it. Romania: Okay, I'll buy some of the Revlon Colorstay and try it out! You've finally convinced me.
12Well, if you don't like it you can always send it to me.
13Definitely!
I got Teal, and am wearing it now.. seems to smudge a little.. we'll see how it
ends up by the end of the day. They didn't have the bronze and I don't like brown..so.. teal it is
14Romania: It smudged a lot! I didn't seem to have any on by the end of the day.. and I put it on in the early afternoon. You can have it
15I have never used this eyeliner but i know my mom loves ALMAY products...I usually use PRESTIGE EYELINER...since all the other usually always smudged a lot...i can't barely use black eyeliners..they barely last the entire day and they always make a mess in my eyes.....they one I color i use right now is brown...it would be great if this black one works for me..thanks for the good info...lol..xoxo...
