I have fallen in love with these two new skincare products. I have samples of a ton of their items and am purchasing them one by one as I see how they work for me.
Superstar. Try this amazing cleanser and you’ll see why it’s our most popular product worldwide. Dirt, excess oil, makeup—even waterproof mascara—and other pore-cloggers dissolve easily, leaving your face a grime-free zone that is soft to the touch. Its unique water-soluble formula rinses completely, so you’ll never see a greasy residue. Olive oil and vitamin E help ensure you won’t see dryness either. -their words, not mine.
I have found this to be Amazing. It does exactly as it describes. The oil is purely refined olive oil, and doesn't give an oily feeling at all! It takes off every single bit of makeup off of my face! Truly amazing. The hardest part of my skincare routine is taking off my makeup and I was using Lancome's Bi-Facil until I discovered this. The only downside is that I felt a slight tingle afterwards, but it went away quickly. It claims to be good for everyone's skin. I did wash my face afterwards with their Olive Oil Soap.
Clear advantage. Olive Soap’s bevy of botanicals come together to create a fierce antioxidant and vitamin-rich cleanser that’s gentle on sensitive and dry complexions. Olive leaves are naturally fortified with coenzyme Q10 (a nutrient that also exists naturally in human tissue) and give Olive Soap the power to fight free radicals and help prevent damage to collagen and elastin fibers from UV rays. This botanical bar works to free your skin’s surface of dirt and excess oil while vitamins and antioxidants go to the cellular level for skin strength reinforcement. Wash regularly with its generous lather and never again will skin have to feel tight after washing. -again, their words, not mine.
This soap is really great. I got it as a sample as well and both my husband and I use it. I have combination skin and his is dry. It definitely cleans well, but you need to use a makeup remover first. I used to use Cetaphil for Normal to Oily skin. I'm not going back. It claims to be good for everyone's skin, and I'm sure it is.
If you're interested in their skincare line and wish to try things out that are suitable for your skin type, you can try out their My Skin Type to see what they have in store specifically for your needs.
I am sold! Like I said, I'm trying out their products as samples, and plan on making their skincare line part of my regimen even though I will continue to use my Sea Kelp Bioferment Moisturizer with additives from Skinactives.
Also, every time you place an order you get to select 4 free samples to try. I won an e-bay auction that had 37 samples, which is where I found which products I like the most. I will do more reviews as I try each one over time. I'm giving these a 4.5 star rating because the prices are a little bit high.
Has anyone else tried these and/or other of their products? Do you have any interest in trying out DHC products?
*Note: I am not affiliated with them in any way.

Wow, what a great review! I'm glad these products are working for you. I've had some trouble finding cleansers, so I might have to try these out. Thanks for the post!
1I'll have to look into these products; wonderful review!
2I used to receive a catalog that sold these products and I think I had a sample of the oil. I can't remember what I thought of it, but it's very hard for me to get attached to a skin care product from a sample. I'm just not a sample kind of person. I'm glad you like them! They sound like good products. The only thing is that I made a vow to myself that I would never use a soap bar on my face again, no matter what the claims. I guess it would have to be pretty spectacular!
3I also wanted to ask you, do you use the oil as a makeup remover and the soap as a cleanser? Or could you use just the oil?
I've had to use more than one sample in order to really get the feel of the product. I did however, notice that the Deep Cleaning Oil did the trick the very first time I used it. I wear heavy eye makeup and that's what I noticed the most. As far as the Olive Oil bar- I felt the same way as you did. I tried it anyway (and the sample lasts a long time). Like I said, it's worth it to me. The bar lathers nicely (with clean hands of course). It recommends that I use the DCO first, and then cleanse with the bar. That's just part of the regimen.
Actually, I literally just got my full bottle of DCO (as I was in the middle of responding to this) and tried it out. I didn't feel like I needed to cleanse my face with the olive oil bar afterwards since it left my skin so smooth. I did anyway, because I wanted to make sure my face absorbed more of the oil to keep it smooth. Plus, I like to use an entire regimen before buying more things.
That was a very good question!
4I'm one of those oil-free fanatics so the thought of something like this sends me running, but now I'm intrigued...
5I'm interested to know how much this product cost and how it differs from extra virgin olive oil? I have used EVOO as face cleanser for years and am always raving about it as it is the best! Also what is the fragrance of this oil? Thanks for the great post by the way!
6I used to be an oil-free fanatic too! I bought everything oil-free thinking it would keep me from being oily. What I didn't understand is that certain oils can be really good for your skin, and not strip the ones you naturally have - and somehow it's making my skin smooth and soft rather than the other products I used to use.
If you go to www.dhccare.com you can see how much the products cost. I would go to the My Skin Type link that I posted above first to see what they recommend for your skin. Their site is not good about putting in products. You have to write exactly what it says the name of the product is. Very annoying.
They run anywhere from 17-35 or so for different products, and some little things are far cheaper. You can also find many things on Amazon and E-bay. They rarely use scents, and when they do, it's very pure. None of the products I have used are scented. As I use more of their products I will get back to you all. In the meantime, I would check it out to see what lineup they think is good for your skin type.
I'm thinking about buying and olive oil body bar from a different location because I heard so many great things about really pure olive oil. I found some at www.oliveoil.com. I'm thinking of trying a large bar from the one from France. I believe it's the best.
7I just use regular Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the supermarket. It is my ultimate beauty product - I use it as face cleanser, hair sheen and as a bath oil (makes your skin soooo soft!) I also use it to soak my feet before I give myself a pedicure and it's great for that too. Couldn't live without the stuff!
8My mom has gotten samples of this stuff, which I've nicked because she couldn't care less about beauty-related things (we're complete and total opposites in that respect
) and I really liked the olive oil soap. I'm trying to un-train
myself from the oil-free thing at the moment... because in a scientific, logical sense, oil is the only thing that can actually dissolve oil, n'est pas? Oil-free just dries things out. But
it's slow going. I'm definitely going to try this DCH cleansing oil this summer though...
9I use Ambi skin products and they work Very well...
I have combination skin as well.
♥200 ways to look fabulous this fall♥
10I definitely think that everyone that uses a lot of hard-core eyeliner try the deep cleansing oil. It makes Lancome's Bifacil look ridiculous. I hate how it smears the oil all over your face. The DCO leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean. It even takes off glitter!
DHC has 3 different kinds of olive oil soap... I highly suggest to click on the link to "My Skin Type" if you're looking into which soap or makeup remover to try (they have many of those as well).
11I LOVE these two products. I always got the DHC catalog and samples in the mail but only recently had I actually tried them. I'm big on visuals and I guess their packaging just didn't do it for me.
Anyway... when I tried the deep cleansing oil and smelled it, I was sold. I'm half Italian so anything that smells like olive oil (or garlic) brings in a flood of memories from grandma's and my dad's cooking. Weird? Maybe. Afterwards, my skin was soft and clean, not squeaky and tight.
12Flames: I'm so glad I've found another person who uses their products! Yes, the sample packets are very plan and most of the time are written in Japanese in the back (of course they are a Japanese company).
I also find it funny that they call toners "lotions". I was kind
of confused at first!
I can't get across to people how amazing it is. I think that anyone who wears a lot of heavy makeup or specifically "hard to remove" eye makeup should definitely give this a go. There are, of course, about 5 other makeup removers from them (depending on skin type).
I think you can order a catalog for $2 and get a couple of samples. Whenever I buy a new product, I order 4 of another one I'm thinking about getting so that I have a better idea as to whether or not to buy it.
There's a couple of other ones I'm looking into: Eye Bright and CoQ10 cream. Even though I'm a skeptic about the expense of CoQ10 and the amount added.. the deep orange color makes me believe it has enough of it in there (no added color).
13I just recently signed up for DHC's catalogs (just simply for the heck of it). I had been using the Clinique system for my especially oily skin and I have to be honest, it made things 10 X worse... SERIOUSLY. The chemicals were so harsh on my face that not only have super-oily skin, but also I have: started to break out non stop (when I used to have super clear skin), oddly sensitve skin (when it used to be invincable), and now have some dry patches on top of it all.
When I signed up for DHC, I was attracted by the word "samples" with every catalog. BUT it required a CC # because they were'nt supposed to be free... but hehe, I ended up getting them anyway without paying (must be some luck I didn't know I had). I do love the makeup removing oil and the eye cream. I have yet to try the primer sample but I'm sure I will love it (I've just been saving it for a special day). I really want to buy their products, I just have to convince my mom that the high prices are worth it. I'll probably get the shower friendly version of OOMR since it's a bit cheaper. I thought it was weird that I just discovered this brand and now I see good reviews on it here. It's a definate sign that I should stick with it. hehe!
Thanks for your thoughts on what you've tried so far, it will for sure help me on my future purchases!
14XOXO
topaz: I'm glad you like what you've tried so far
I love their Velvet Skin Coat
(primer). You can wear it without makeup and it makes your skin look really smooth. You're able to get more than one use out of the sample. Also, I've never tried the OOMR. The Deep Cleansing
Oil is so powerful, and that's what I need with the amount of eye makeup I use. Plus, my skin feels so soft afterwards.
Good choice! Did you try the "My Skin Type" link? If not, give it a whirl!
15Thank you so much for posting this! I have definitely added this to my want list of beauty items to try.
16the pure soap is great for oilier skin types. Also their matte cream is very nice!
