Okay...I feel like I'm posting about Aveda products or services every other day on here so I thought I'd explain why I love the stuff so much.
First, there is the company's commitment to environmental causes:
"Our mission at Aveda is to care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society. At Aveda, we strive to set an example for environmental leadership and responsibility-not just in the world of beauty, but around the world." Horst M. Rechelbacher, Founder, Aveda.
Second, because they use pure plant and flower extracts, the products make your skin and hair look and feel amazing!! I have sensitive, combination skin and at 30 still get pimples from time to time, but using their cleansers and make up has significantly improved my skin.
Third, the wonderful smells to the products that do not irritate people with Environmental Sensitivities. In Nova Scotia, a province in Canada with a no-scented products by-law for all pubic places (crazy, I know...) Aveda products are on their "accepted products list." (I know this after studying and teaching there for 3 years).
Fourth, I have looooooooooong curly hair that is quite coarse and since making the switch to Aveda stuff a few years ago, I only have to trim my hair two (max 3) times a year because my split ends and all that other jazz have significantly reduced with their hair care systems.
What are my faves? Check it out:
Be Curly for the days I let my curls run wild, they stay super soft and silky...no frizz!

Esprit
My salon uses Aveda products and my stylist turned me onto the Brilliant Anti-Humecant Pomade. It's the only thing that keeps my hair from frizzing in the humid summer months.
1I use that, too!! It's wonderful!! Helped me not look like a crazed woman in Venezuela on our holidays LOL!
2"no-scented products by-law for all pubic places"
I love Aveda too. Can't get it here though.
3Where do you live Twink? I don't know where Kornsas is...
4Finland
Not as glamorous as Paris.
5I like Finland
6I have to admit glögg is pretty yummy.
7
See...good things come from Finland!!
8I will definetly try those things for curly hair. I constantly try anti-frizz products, but have yet to find one that actually delivers. We live in Maryland, which is very humid in the summer, and I can't keep my hair from looking like a giant fluffabush.
