Please heart this on Sugarloving. Maybe UD will get the message! UD Goes Under the Knife
I have a TON of this stuff left and I thought I was almost out! Here's the pictures of me slicing the packaging:
The tools: small kitchen knife and razor blades.
Sliced through with the hubby's help with the razor blade. Can you BELIEVE how much is left?!
Scooped out as much as possible without cutting the bottom. The container is an old BE Foundation jar.
The easiest way to cut the bottom is poke a hole and cut straight across the rim.
All cleaned out from the bottom...
and all clean from the top! I sustained a slight slice of my finger but it was worth it!
The final amount of product left in that sucker. I think a BE blush container would be the perfect size for this.
Woot woot!

Congrats, I always cut my tubes - always so much product left. No use of wasting.
1This is so outrageous! I just can't believe it.
I have an old BE container that I'll have to clean out and use when I do this. I am so glad this was exposed before I threw the old one out.
2Seriously, Linz! I was about to order a new one! I think I have a 6 months supply now!
3I tried to scrape the inside with the wand when I was getting low, so it will be interesting to see how well I did.
4I am still amazed!!! Glad you two did it... so we know it is true. Thanks!
5wow....that is just crazy.
6great job. and i hate that you were wounded in the process. damn urban decay!!
linz - i finally sliced the bottom of my primer potion and there was nothing at the bottom. so all my hard work wand action for the past few months were successful. i completely cleaned out the bottom. but the top you just can't do it with the wand. so impossible.
7That's unbelieve. So much product!
Part of me doesn't want the container to change (even though it is ugly and annoying) and instead I'll just keep cutting the container when the time comes... just because if they change the packaging I can see it containing less product AND costing more.
I feel like this way we're secretly ripping UD off (even though that's entirely illogical knowing the price)!!
8You have a great point, Lily. They probably would do some shizz like that to rip us off.
9I think there's more product left than what you actually used!
10This is nuts. What a stupid design.
11I really like how the bottle looks, but I hate how it's so hard to get everything out! I've taken the first step and removed the stopper, but will undoubtedly be slicing into my tube soon! And I agree with Lily, it's probably best to keep this our (semi)secret! If they change the bottle, it will undoubtedly not be to our benefit!
12wow that's a lot! I'll be slicing it up soon too. Thanks for the tip!

i dont use this stuff but is that bottle hard to squeeze? its looks to be...
14WOW.
15Loren - it is a hard plastic tube not squeeze-able...
I think we use only like 30% with the wand and maybe like 70% is still in the tube. So definitely slicing is the way to go.
16i agree. the only very bottom is what we can actually get to with the wand. and even getting all that out requires a lot of wand bending.
17Hahahaha good job!!
